• hub.efnet.us offers SSL listen ports for servers

  United States - Following last friday's release of ircd-ratbox 3.0, hub.efnet.us's ircd was upgraded earlier today. As a result, it now offers SSL listen ports for encrypted server-server links. Admins whom wish to take advantage of this added layer of security should consider upgrading their ircd's. hub.efnet.us was first linked to EFnet in 2004.

• irc.blessed.net relinks to EFnet

  Dallas, Texas - Only a few weeks after a formal delink, irc.blessed.net relinked their IRC server from Globalcon.net, LLC's network in Dallas Texas. The administrators of the server are still Salvation and Merch^. A new admin was added, ^duck^. The server is open-I, but no longer accepts SSL connections.

• efnet.teleglobe.net delinks

  Amid discussions of a botched server move that resulted in many confused EFnet users ending up on Undernet, teleglobe has decided to delink their server entirely from EFnet.

• SSL Servers

  To make it easier to remember servers with SSL enabled on EFnet, we have set up a round robin. The round robin is 'ssl.efnet.org' and currently lists the three servers we have with SSL support.

  After six years linked to EFnet irc.blessed.net has announced that it is forced to delink after losing its sponsorship. Hopefully we will see the crew back from a new home later on. Best of luck and thank you for a stable server.
