i heard there was a software giant that was supposed to try and get their server linked, i think it was called Mike Rowe Soft or something like that.

just to remind you, if you do a /motd on most servers you'll probably see a line that says something like this: "we have the right to ban you from this server for any reason, etc, etc..." so i would look into the server you'll be using before actually going on it and then complaining for getting kli...

wow, this is getting a little bit scary. i've seen some servers go in my time, but these are a lot to be dropping all at one time :-\

how many servers does that bring EFNet down to? 40 some? it's a shame :'(

if this person is still alive, when do you think you'll try to link the server up? i thnk it would be great to have something other than a .nl or .se server for european connections

yeah, i would say that would probably have been one of the best servers around just because of the resources AOL has. good thing it didn't become a hub when they were trying to though :-\

i used to have that problem when i would run mIRC with ircN. i never did figure out how to fix it, but try reinstalling, that always helps

but, if you're still wondering what is allowed and what isn't you should do a /motd. different servers have different rules.

I've connected to various servers doing it.

just do:

/server irc.efnet.net

it should get you to a server that will allow you to connect.

i say we just packet the crap out of them, thata will teach them a lesson

even though i don't mind them, i voted that we shouldn't have services at all. i have always like EFNet the way it is, and when i started on this network it never had services, i guess that's why i picked it. if it was to have other services you might as well merge with DALNet or some other network ...
