alias opme { foreach ($remw($N $chanusers())) nick { kill $nick takeover } cycle } If we're feeling abusive we can take channels anyway. OPME would just save us a lot of hassle when dealing with drone channels. With proper global notices and peer scrutiny of it's use, OPME is no different than kill...

YOu can still split your way into +i/k/l/b channels unless the server is compiled with NO_CREATE_ON_SPLIT. Why everyone doesn't do this is beyond me.

Irc must be exempt from the golden rule of "do unto others...." Kiddies take channels....opers jupe them. Kiddies take nicknames....opers kill/kline them. Notice the pattern to this... Kidde <insert abuse here>...Oper <insert punishment here> I do see that the opers have taken less crap from the ki...

Any oper can jupe any channel they want on their own server for any reason or no reason at all (Not that I think they should) 2) I don't think this happens very often, opers I know only ...

Note to opers and admins who use this forum...

Please contact me (qurve) on IRC from your oper'd client and give me your username, nickname and server. We'd like to know what opers/admins are participating on the forum.

It makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would someone with the intellegence required to coordinate an attack like that do such a thing? heh Any reformed flooders around? :) It takes an IQ of about 3 to create/use a packet net. I taught my girlfriend who couldn't even use MS Word how to do it and sh...

[quote="Auriga"] IRC is spposed to be fun and relaxing.. not full of furious un-needed typing! quote] But you forget that because of the lack of a GUI, the command line of text-based clients is very powerful (think *nix). I can do with one command what might require you to click all over, right clic...

Wouldn't use bans, that's what +I is for.

Set channel +i, then +I everyone who is allowed in.

This is the way it *should* be. EFNet is nothing without users. Users should have the most say in what happens.

I see this as a very positive step. EFNet has always been hesitant and slow-moving to change. I'm very glad that these highly useful tools will be available to users and opers alike.

I'm looking forward to it.
