While it did punch a hole in the stigma of serviceless EFnet, on the whole it's a useful tool with little to no user interaction, therefor taking away that bias point of oper/client use/abuse.

i suggest going to http://www.mirc.com and download the client, assuming you don't already have an IRC capable client. connect to an EFNet server, then "/join #skatevideos". the mirc help has alot of great details, and shows you how to setup the client if you need it.
