I remember hearing a long time ago that EFnet was going to get mode +e, ban exception. For example, I could +b *!*@*.aol.com from a channel, but I could +e *!*myfriend@*.aol.com and then myfriend@aol.com would still be able to get in, even though there was a domain ban. What ever happened to that? ...

if someone would code a SSL mod for ircd-efnet, which would scale to the amount of users an average efnet server holds (even if expensive SSL hardware cards are required), and would be transparent to the IRC server with regards to DNS lookups, I'd try it out on ServerCentral.
