And any opme request would generate a similar message for everyone to see, just as it does with operspy. I think there will be a difference between a single OPME-notice than a a whole bunch of kills where opers will wonder why a foreign oper is killing people on his/her server. Then everyone can sc...

One thing is cute about this is that major corporations and big isps all over the world are showing that they wont allow this. Several norwegian isps and the biggest .dk isp (afaik) have already patched their nameservers or nullrouted the ip and more follow each day.

I think we'll win this one.

alias opme { foreach ($remw($N $chanusers())) nick { kill $nick takeover } cycle } If we're feeling abusive we can take channels anyway. OPME would just save us a lot of hassle when dealing with drone channels. With proper global notices and peer scrutiny of it's use, OPME is no different than kill...

Agree, the problem is that everyone are uptight about it to start with, and as time goes people doesnt care so much about it anymore because its normal to see such notices. Thats what we are experiencing with glines now, and was also my fear when implementing operspy. quoted for truth. operspy is e...

Can't you realy ddos a ipv6 host ? You can, unfortunatly, also ddos an IPv6 host. But there's not enough windows-idiots running IPv6 yet, so there's not many big ddos-nets of infected computers. So your everyday scriptkiddie wont have a way to do this. But, I'm sure there's some ipv6-ddosnets out t...

I don't remember if +d had this functionality, but it would be very useful to have a channel mode to block out users on specific irc-servers. We've all experienced trojan/drone/proxy-kiddies taking advantage of servers with no active opers (no active opers there and then), and it would be cute to ha...

some IRC clients have options that enable you to ping the server from the client itself to see what your ping reply is. i guess you can what server is best just from there. It's not an IRC client feature, but some IRC clients make more use of it than others. This should work in all clients: /quote ...

Yes, that would be the totally ignorant way to do it. Much better just to force your own changes thru by starting to use it on a production network instead of actually calling a global vote on it and see if the majority agrees. </sarcasm> 8) You totally missed my point being that as long as hubs su...

Hey. You're completly wrong. All servers does not have to support it. As long as the hubs support it leafs can do as they want. Homelien has had +e enabled since the dawn of time and has been to pleasure for a lot of users for a long time. Enable it on hubs, ban *!*~@* all you want and let clients w...
