Re: Excessive kills and or abuse.
No, scd_ is not the top score, he is #9. The kills were unnecessary as a manual chanfix would have had the same result and been perfectly permissible under the circumstances.

Re: IRC servers open on port 80
if it's not limited to oper only, /stats P will tell you listening ports.
seeing as ircds refuse to run as root, i'm not aware of any that listen on any ports under 1024. 8080 is common, however.

Re: Is any one else having this problem?
there are 3300 users on servercentral that says the server is working. have you tried using other servers? does the problem exist on all servers, or is it specific to your connection with servercentral?
are you using a script? have you tried other irc clients?

Re: What's the secret?
for problems with spam, try #spamfix if you can't find an oper on the server in which the spambot is using.
if it's a regularly recurring spam, they can usually get a pattern added to the spamtrap bots to help deal with it. messaging a spamtrap bot isn't going to accomplish anything.

Re: Phone as modem always results in K-line
No one at EFnet runs spamhaus. Most often the case is that someone gets infected with a virus and starts spewing spam, and gets the IP blocked. Since the IP is shared by a few dozen or more users (almost all cell networks use NAT for their customers) are affected by this. Most users don't notice bec...

DNSBL removal does not remove any pre-existing bans placed on any servers. You need to either try another server, or talk to the server administrators where the ban exists and ask to have it unbanned.
