Give me an example of how to use:
You can use date...
date +%Y-%m-%d

The example is already there... I don't know exactly what you're trying to accomplish there myself.

The changes have been very nice. I noticed the new way the hosts are displayed and yes, it is a lot faster. Thanks!

I am pasting this from a page I wrote a while back: Resolving: You have a DCC pending, Set your client to receive the transfer. This guide is intended mainly for mIRC users on the EFNet IRC Network and will not have any graphics and the terminology might not be exact or apply to your version of mIRC...

I don't believe Bitchx reads variables like your shell does. Try putting what you have down there in your .profile

These are some possibilities:

ident too short
realname / gecos too short.

a mix and match of the combination of the above with a short nickname. try adjusting or setting the realname part first.

For example:
export IRCNAME="TKZ ABCD"

then fire up BitchX.

Heh. I bet other other network that was mentioned on the original would ban trolls that flood and troll in #help, but then again, the ops for that channel on that other network would just be doing their job, where as we are just being jerks. *waves to all the jerks.*

IF there's a need to extend a trial, there's a good chance something happened that resulted in the need. Perhaps it...

Looks like you need to figure out how to configure ident to respond to IRC servers. If you are using mIRC, there's an ident server built in and is enabled by default. Identd listens on port 113, and chances are you need to configure your firewall and/or router to allow incoming connections to that p...
