I'm guessing your nickname isn't .*3846.* on EFnet.. Perhaps if you divulged your nickname pubic ally, it could be discussed who and why you were banned on several servers. But to answer your question about being banned for annoying ops in #efnet sure.. Alot of server admins hang out in #efnet If yo...

I think .. to a point ... oper's have earned the right to a certain level of abuse. If oper's couldn'...

The easiest way, if you are used to using a windows IRC client is to get a BNC from a UNIX shell provider. If you are up for the challenge, there's also IPv6 tunneling available. Hexago.com will give you all the ip addresses you could ever need and the ability to specify a nameserver responsible for...

irssi is a very powerful IRC client. If you read through the documentation and pick up some handy scripts, you'll learn to love it quickly.. That is if you like console/text based irc clients. I ran BitchX for about 8 years and loved it. I got really used to it. Then I finally put away my fears of i...

New website
Hopefully I don't step on any toes here, but I would like to comment that I personally prefer the old efnet.org website. The new layout and color scheme is harder to read. I would like to suggest though, since you are most likely going to stay with the new layout that you add timestamps to the news ...

I also agree. At 1st I told people to STOP banning them because they were for a good cause... This was before 4-5 anti-spam bots joined all my -s-p channels a dozen times a day. This is so god aweful annoying. My policy towards them now is ban on site. You've created trolls with spoofs. Please eithe...
