Guess what .. I'm another banned user for no good reason

Postby rockkingmy » Wed Apr 04, 2007 12:30 pm

Hi.

I tired to join a couple of EFNET chat rooms via the web but I get messages like:

*** Welcome to CGI:IRC
*** Looking up irc.servercentral.net
*** Connecting to irc.servercentral.net [66.225.225.225] port 5556
-219.95.24.125- *** Processing connection to chat.efnet.org
-219.95.24.125- *** Looking up your hostname...
-219.95.24.125- *** Couldn't look up your hostname
-219.95.24.125- *** Hostname is set to

-chat.efnet.org- *** Banned Temporary K-line 1440 min. - Blacklisted Proxy found. Visit http://dnsbl.njabl.org/cgi-bin/lookup.cgi?query=[my IP , I think] for info. (2007/4/4 07.18)
*** Closing Link 127.0.0.1 (*** Banned )
*** Disconnected from IRC (click to reconnect)

Before this, I tried to join via MIRC, I get the similar rubbish.

I rebooted my PC tons of times .. same rubbish.

I got a dynamic IP I think.

Please help.

Did you actually go to the URL in the message? Did you scan your machine?

EDIT: If you have a dynamic IP, turn your modem off and on.

your ip is listed as being an open HTTP proxy on 80 and 8080 by njabl, ahbl, and dsbl. you need to either renew your dhcp to get a new address, or request delisting from each one.
