Connection Problem pls assist

Connection Problem pls assist

I have been on efnet server for years and for last 2 weeks ive been getting problems connecting to all efnet servers. The errors ive been getting are:

Closing Link: muju[none@255.255.255.255] (You are not authorized to use this server)

irc.avalonworks.ca 6667 Please use this Server/Port instead

This is what i get when i try to connect to any efnet server

Do as the error message instructs. Connect to port 6667.

try a server located geographical near you.

you are in the US, try a US server, that's what they are there for
check either http://www.efnet.info/?module=servers for a server near you, or use irc.us.efnet.info

That is the key, it tells you to use that server instead of demon, as it's networkwise close to your ISP (rogers).

Thanks alot for the link with servers in my location its works. When i started using efnet i used to connect to mostly any server no matter where located. Oh well as long as i can connect thats fine by me. thanks everyone for the help...

maybe they did spell it as they meant to?
maybe they meant it to mean "author ised" or "author of Infrastructure Systems Engineering Directorate". you never know

It is spelled correctly, it's just Americans spell it wrong. :wink:

it doesn't show up in dictionary.reference.com, which generally has alternate spellings of words (such as colour)
