3 Quick Questions

Ok, I have three questions abour IRC and EFNet.

1.) When I tried to register on this forum to ask my other 2 questions, it claimed that my primary email address was banned. Why?

2.) When I type "/WHO #chan", what do the numbers after the colon represent?

3.) When I try to connect to chat.efnet.info (to circumvent the firewall at work), it claims my IP is blacklisted. What does that mean, how does it happen, and can I fix it?

Could it be that you are using a free email account, or an isp that has alot of abuse? Or have you had an account here earlier that have been deleted due to abuse? I guess the forum admins will have a better answer to this one

Server hops (Number of hops from your server to the server of the user listed).

3.) When I try to connect to chat.efnet.info (to circumvent the firewall at work), it claims my IP is blacklisted. What does that mean, how does it happen, and can I fix it?

See http://www.efnet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=477 if you get an error like "*** Access Denied: Found in DNS black list dnsbl.njabl.org" and are sure you dont have an open proxy otherwise something that can be abused running.

There are some free e-mail hosts that are banned from here to prevent abuse.

Thanks. It doesnt really matter, my @drexel.edu account forwards to my yahoo account anyway
