Trying to find specific channel PLEASE HELP!

Hello, I'm an avid user of <deleted website> but recently my IP address has been banned from the site (with no given reason). i remember reading on the site something about contacting them through this IRC server but when i connect to the chat, there's no one there (i entered '#<deleted_channel>'). i'd really like to get intouch with one of their 'people' because if i was banned for not seeding new files, i'll be glad to do so if i am unblocked. i hope you're able to help me find someone! i'm dying here =( thanks in advance.

Probably a lesson in how to use IRC would help you. You may find good information at http://www.irchelp.org . In most IRC clients, commands are preceeded by a / (slash). The command to join a channel is " /join #channel " (without the quotes, of course). Also, if you intend to spend any kind of time on IRC, you may want to use an actual IRC client, rather than the web-based one here. You can find info on that in the Software section of this web site.
