Too many host connections (global)

Postby striker » Tue Dec 10, 2013 7:56 pm

Greetings,

We are having an issue connecting to your IRC servers. The error we receive is "Too many host connections (global)". Our host shows up as 'nat-pool-rdu-t.redhat.com'. Please let me know if it is possible to allow unlimited connections from this host.

Thanks,
Striker

Each server has its own rules about numbers of connections. This could be anything from 1 to many, and is handled automatically once set by the administrator. If you want an exemption, you should email the server admin (email addy usually either in the MOTD or by typing /admin) and explain who you are and the reason you need unlimited connections from one host. I do not believe this can be done globally, but has to be done server by server.
