i was on my laptop when the blackout hit, it went a little something like this:

<netmunky> whoa, the lights are flickering
<netmunky> glad i have my laptop with a battery
<netmunky> pretty amasing that i'm still connected to the i(disconnected)

the power at my work flickered (about 10-20 Hz) for upwards of 15 seconds. i was still connected to the internet for all but the last 5 seconds.

oddly enough, there was still 1 device on wireless, that would connect as an ad-hoc network, but signal was too weak to figure anything out.
