ircspy is for showing all the channels and all the packs on them, thats all. it just says that none of the channels have been updated in forever. but maybe its my client or connection, who knows, thanks for the website to

If your "IRCSPY" is showing that EFNet servers are down, it is probably a mistake. Some servers that you can try to get on are:

irc.efnet.info
irc.choopa.net
irc.servercental.net
irc.foxlink.net

sounds like your school broke down and joined in the multitude of schools that are now running extensive firewall/shaper rules to cut out any and all p2p/excessive programs. there are a few irc servers that run on odd ports like 80, etc. you might search the forums, i know its's been talked about before. or try /motd <servername> and see what open ports they list. admins easily block the default irc ports of (i think) 6660-7000 (or that general range) on any router/firewall along with the range of kazaa/etc mp3 sharing programs.
while tons of student see it as intrusive, the bw bills of most univ's are soaring due to traffic created both internally and externally by p2p.
and ircspy simply runs a client that connects to known file sharing rooms and gathers a listing of packs offered. odds are that bot has been down, thats what you are seeing on their page.

Not that I've seen.

ircspy.com is not an efnet server.

If you are having an issue connecting to an efnet server, tell us what server and show us the error messages. If your having problems with ircspy.com, sorry, but you will have to speak with them.

Sounds like your site has a firewall which isn't IRC friendly.
You could probably take that as a hint they don't want you on IRC..

however, in the event you still want to get on.. try servers listening on odd ports.. like 8080 or 5555...

my ircd listens on some unsual ports.. here's a list..

P 5555 irc.servercentral.net 0 active
P 5190 irc.servercentral.net 0 active
P 6665 irc.servercentral.net 37 active
P 6666 irc.servercentral.net 102 active
P 6667 irc.servercentral.net 3713 active
P 6668 irc.servercentral.net 78 active
P 6669 irc.servercentral.net 10 active
P 7000 irc.servercentral.net 56 active
P 8080 irc.servercentral.net 3 active
P 31337 irc.servercentral.net 5 active
-!- [irc.servercentral.net] P End of /STATS report

enjoy,
seiki

Corrrect, but the port number is the number in the LEFT column... that right side number is the number of clients connected on that port.
