I wrote the following script to help users in these channels unlock their channel and simply ignore the spam...

;What? This is a script to stop the spam bots sending annoying private messages
;Why? There is no way to rid of them, ban them, kill them, stop them or otherwise, there's simply too many of them, and they have no central control they simply download a script and loop it
;When? This script should work at any point
;Where? This affects #chatzone,#ps3,#pothead,#adultswim,#exdcc,#trance,#ircparty,#khaldiya,#leech,#news,#lool,#ircgreeks,#orkut,#winnipeg,#worldchat on EFnet and many other channels on other networks
;How? When a user joins the channel the user is set to ignore for 16 seconds, if the user parts within this time period, the ignore will be increased to 180 seconds stopping a spam bot from sending private messages.
