have you tried banning them? thats what i'd suggest doing

and who are you making the request to?
I'm not about to fill up my banlist banning bots that should not be there to begin with. Also, by their nature, these bots change nicknames, hostnames, etc, to try to throw off any sort of anti-anti-spam measure that spambots might be using to detect them, therefore they will just come back.

Also, I WILL NOT set my channel +s, so don't even mention it. I want them to be permanently removed from my channel.

you think posting about it here will get them removed from your channel?
only thing you'll get here is suggestions like ban them.
and people tell me all the time to make my channel +s so we dont get spam, unwanted bots and people typing !list or people asking asl, etc... but i dont want to. so i understand you not wanting to do that. any spam or bots or anything i dont want in my channel i ban them or if its spam, i try to get it klined.

So, you don't like what's happening, but you refuse to do the things that ARE IN YOUR POWER to stop it. How about moving to a different network? You could do that. That would stop them. I think it's just a part of being on EFNet to get these things in channels that aren't +s/i/k, just like any other client. By being pro-active and doing the things within your power to stop it, i think you'll get a lot better results.

"EFNet" runs them? That's pretty broad, especially with the freedoms that each server is allowed on EFNet.

if you know who runs them you probably know what they are, so stop complaining and cope. the alternative is worse.

i bet if his channel and the users on it were constantly being spammed, he would be singing a different tune.

Banning this bot is not the best way to get rid of it, the flakey servers that lose ban lists during splits makes the bot more of an annoyance than any help. Constant kick/join/kick/join 50 times is just plain stupid.

You must have missed what I said in my post. Banning it doesn't work.
The servers are too flakey. They keep losing channel ban lists on splits. Sometimes even resetting the ban doesn't work.
