ipv6+homelien+error

Postby nor9ix » Sat Oct 08, 2005 3:47 pm

Hi. Im having LAN party with, 15 friends. Since I know that we cant connect to all servers with just one IP, i've innstaled ipv6 on a server that I run psybnc's on..But the problem is that even if we use different ipv6 IPs i just get Closing Link: 127.0.0.1 (Too many host connections (local)) on
irc.homelien.no...irc.efnet.nl works fine, with many clients.. wo why won't homelien work? I just wonder why..

most likely a limit on number of connections per netblock, not just per ip

you could probably email the homelien.no admin and request an iline block for your IP space to allow for a larger amount of connections due to your multiuser 'LAN party' enviroment. the admin is easy to deal with imho, and would probably consider such a request...

.. or just use irc.efnet.nl
